Hillsboro Subaru Repair

I can't believe it has taken me so long to post a review!!! Finding a good mechanic is difficult, and finding an honest mechanic is even harder. I found both in this shop. The owner, John, is always looking out for his customers by helping you make the right choices for your vehicle (or helping you save a dollar wherever you can). I had an ongoing issue that apparently Subaru would fix for me (I had no idea), even though I was well outside of warranty. He informed me of this and told me which dealerships to go to and how to approach the problem to make sure I got it fixed. In the end I got my entire short block replaced *for free*. If I hadn't gotten this huge replacement for free it would have meant a lot more work I would have had to go to Accolate Auto to get completed. I don't know what better testimonial I could write than that he is such a good and honest person that he does the right thing at the expense of possible future revenue. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. Side note: All staff is extremely kind and welcoming as well.

I purchased a 2010 Forester from here a couple months back. I had a great experience with Jon and the rest of the staff I dealt with and the car was in excellent shape, just as advertised. Because of all the maintenance that was performed to the car before I bought it ( new head gaskets, timing kit, water pump, etc..) I opted to wait to write a review until I had driven the car for a while. So far, this Subaru runs and drives like new. The motor is strong, the MPG is better than expected, doesn’t leak a drop of anything or make any noises you would normally expect from a car with 110k on it. In fact, Jon noticed a faint sound while I was test driving it that I didn’t hear and wouldn’t let it go until it was dealt with. If you’re looking for a used Subie and want to get the best bang for your buck, make sure to check their inventory. Their prices are fair and you won’t get a better running car anywhere else.

I have been coming to Accolade Auto for a couple of years now. Always owned Subarus and used the dealership for service before. So glad we switched. Jon and his staff are the best. Excellent service, fair pricing, and they always back their work. Highly recommend. Will not go anywhere else.

Our Family owns several Subaru, we bring them all to accolade. We have had them do some strange things... they found the cause of a strange noise was an old dried orange had found it's way into the frame rails.

Great customer service, they were very easy to communicate with and made arrangements for my Husband to get the car in really soon and easy. A great place for a check up, and they gave us a lot of good advice that will be useful for the future!

Great level of service, the technicians here really know their stuff and are happy to explain the work to you. I've known Jon (the owner) for a while now and trust him to repair my old Subaru (that my son now drives) at a fair price.

Jon is easy to work with, honest and talented. If I needed a Subaru I would buy one at Accolade. But I don't need one because he keeps my wife's 2005 Forester running. Major engine work was done only after he verified the problem, he found me a great deal on body work after a tree fell on the car. The car was really shaking as we turned corners, we were told by other places, it was normal for a Subaru of that age. Its running smooth now thanks to accolade auto. Wouldn't take the car any other place. Sorry Jon as long as you keep repairing Subarus , I won't be buying one from you anytime soon. Don't go any where else.

Accolade Auto is phenomenal in customer service and mechanics ! We bought our son his first car through a private party in Washington. We knew it needed work(but we didn't realize how much) ! We found Accolade via the internet. Took our 2002 Subaru Outback to them to look over the car and make the necessary repairs to get the car in good condition for our son to drive. Accolade greeted us with kind ,caring , honest and very helpful advice for our son's car. There was a lot more to repair than we had anticipated, but Accolade walked us through what needed to be done immediately and could be postponed for a few months. During these last few months of slowly getting this car up and running Accolade has been with us every step of the way : through onsite service , warranty work (they stand behind their products), frantic phone calls (Thank you, John and Ann) if the car was acting up again, curb side service (clearing codes), and one on one explanations of the repairs that were done (Thank you Spencer and John!). Accolade has guided us through quite the mechanical adventure with this car (we have learned a lot) and now we have a great 2002 Outback that will get our son through his last two years of High School and off to college. Accolade is amazing, and highly knowledgeable and skilled about Subarus! Thank you Accolade for making our 2002 Subaru Outback a safe and reliable vehicle for our son !

i bought my 2007 Subaru Impreza wagon here 3 years ago. it was my first time buying a car and we came to Accolade after being pushed around at multiple larger dealerships in the Portland area. the folks at Accolade were much more laid back and I felt way more comfortable working with them. Their prices were reasonable, the car is still running and in great condition and I've been recommending them to folks looking for used Subarus ever since.
